Meisterwerke

The Italian Concerto F-Dur BWV 971 by J. S. Bach (1685-1750) is a brilliant translation of a triple movement Italian Concerto-form to keyboard instruments.

Albert Roussels (1869-1937) Joueurs de Flute is a suite of four miniatures. The composer dedicated each of them to flautists of his time: - Marcel Moyse, Gaston Blanquart, Louis Fleury and Philippe Gaubert.

Paul Constantinescu (1909-1963) is one of the most important Romanian composers of the 20th century. Apart from his orchestral works he composed a variety of chamber music. He dedicated the present Toccata - Joc dobrogean to the pianist Valentin Ghorghiu.

Gabriel Faurés (1845-1924) Fantasie is his only original work for flute and piano. It is dedicated to the formerly well-known flautist Paul Taffanel.

The Sonate D-Dur KV 311 by W.A.Mozart (1719-1787) was composed in 1777 in Mannheim. The sonata is known to be the composite portrait of the Freysinger Daughters (Munich).

The internationally acclaimed musicians Veronica Kraneis - flute and Carmen Daniela - piano, have been working together as a duet for several years. Apart from their concerts, numerous CD-recordings show their varied and artistically outstanding cooperation.
